Super donation from Waitrose Solihull to our young carers!

We are thrilled to announce that Waitrose Solihull has made a generous donation of £2,250 to the young carers team of Carers Trust Solihull! This incredible contribution was presented by Collette Young, their Community Champion, and comes as part of the Waitrose ‘Give a Little Love‘ program. This initiative aims to support families who are juggling time and finances during the long summer holiday from school.

This significant donation opens up numerous opportunities for us to assist young carers and their families in meaningful ways:

  • Residential Respite Break: We are excited to organize a weekend getaway at the Blackwell Adventure Camp, complete with six full meals and a diverse range of physical activities to keep the kids active and engaged while they burn off those calories!
  • Supporting Families’ Shopping Needs: The funds will help us address the extra shopping requirements that many families face during the holidays.
  • Providing Essential Food and Drink: We will ensure that all children have access to the food and drinks they need while participating in our various activities.

A massive thank you to Collette and everyone at Waitrose Solihull from all of us at Carers Trust Solihull! Your support makes a world of difference to our young carers and their families, and we send our very best wishes to you all.
