Donations come in all shapes and sizes. If you have read any of our other donation stories, you will have seen deputy mayors supporting us, accountants that have climbed Mount Everest in order to raise donations, businesses and organisations coming together to raise funds, and so many more have spared their time and efforts for us. All in the spirit of supporting the work we do to help the unpaid carers of Solihull.
Today, however, is one of those donation stories that come deep from within that very spirit of support. Not just for us, but also for the hard-working carers of Solihull.
Peter Hall, a carer in Solihull for is wife, Anne Hall. We helped as much as we could with his caring journey, to support himself while he supported his beloved wife, Anne.
Sadly, Anne has recently passed away and we here at Carers Trust Solihull send our deepest condolences to Peter and Anne’s family in these difficult times. However, we also want to thank them, deeply. You see, Anne wanted a collection at her funeral where the funds will go to charity, and based on the response, it is clear that she was very loved, and her wishes were cherished by all.
It is due to Anne’s wishes that we, and other charities, have received the generosity of her family and friends in these dark times. Together, they raised for Carers Trust Solihull an amazing £100.
Every penny will go towards helping the unpaid carers of Solihull, like Peter, and we will continue to push ourselves to do all we can with our mission. We want to ensure that people like Peter can go on caring for the people in their lives, while we do our very best to support them.
Our work for Peter doesn’t stop here. For anyone who is registered with us as an unpaid carer, will also continue to receive our support after the person cared for passes on, and we continue this support for 12 months. We are here for you, from the beginning and beyond the end of your caring journey, and it is because of people like Peter and Anne that help us and motivate us to make that happen.
Thank you, Peter Hall and Anne Hall.
