Young Carers Befrienders Volunteers - Carers Trust Solihull
young carers befriender volunteer FI

Life as a young carer can be lonely it can often feel isolated, carers have very little time to undertake recreational activities or make new friends.

As a Young Carers Befriender, you will play an important role in befriending, improving good mental wellbeing, building confidence and self-esteem, supporting either in a 1 to 1 or group setting.

We are looking for volunteers that can spend an hour or two after school or at weekends, meeting and chatting to a young carer or groups of young carers.

You can take part in some fun activities or just go and chill out at a coffee shop. You will be there to listen to the effects that caring is having on the young carer and encourage independence and openness to talk about their feelings.
