Here2Help Winter Campaign: Solihull Council’s Guide to Local Support, Advice & Services - Carers Trust Solihull

Solihull Council has launched its Here2Help winter campaign to help residents know where to go for information, advice and support.

Solihull Council has launched a new campaign, in collaboration with local and national organisations, with the aim of signposting and supporting to a wide range of services. The Here2help winter campaign pages (found here) includes advice on “energy and fuel, money, food and essentials, and a range of services to keep people physically and mentally well.”

You should also be aware that parents who are in receipt of benefits or on a low income may be eligible to apply for free school meals for their child. You can find out more and learn how to apply by visiting the Solihull Council website.

Additionally, people over the state pension age (66+) and on a low income can receive help with living costs, by applying for Pension Credit. It also enables you to receive extra support via the Winter Warmth Payment, housing benefit, help with council tax as well as NHS dental care.
