Magical Sydney Mitchell raise £5,000 for local charities - Carers Trust Solihull

'Magical' Sydney Mitchell Raise £5,000 for local charities

Back in July we shared the fantastic news of the Sydney Mitchell Charity Ball, that aimed to raise funds for Marie Curie Hospice Solihull and of course, Carers Trust Solihull. We’re delighted to share that after a night of fun, food and magical entertainment an astounding sum of £5,000 was raised.

[It was] a marvellous evening and a truly enjoyable way to raise funds for two fantastic charities

The black tie event , held on 10th October at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham, was hosted by the Vice President of the Magic Circle, Michael J Fitch who captivated the guests with his magical skills. The soundtrack of the evening was provided by the brilliant Birmingham band House of Chords, and Blackjack Fun Casino provided entertainment so the party could keep going until the early hours.

It was a lovely evening and we are so grateful for the support on the night and the hard work by Sidney Mitchell having made us their joint charity of the year. SM regularly provide free training for our carers and are clearly a business that cares about the community it serves.

CEO Carers Trust Solihull

The evening continued a long and storied partnership between Sydney Mitchell and Carers Trust Solihull. They have long supported us and our unpaid carers, helping to clear up confusing and complicated issues in simple to understand language. Whether it be providing free carer-dedicated advice and support at our workshops, or being guests on our podcast, Carers Talk, to share free and professional advice about Wills and Power of Attorney. Sydney Mitchell have long shown their commitment to serving the local community with invaluable and dedicated support.

Both charities are unwavering in their commitment to making a significant and lasting difference to the lives of those who need their support. We are immensely grateful to all of those who generously donated raffle prizes, suppliers of the event and those who attended on the night, for their kindness and generosity.
