Apprenticeships for Young Adult Carers

For National Apprenticeship Week Carers Trust will be hosting a virtual event on Wednesday 8th February 5:30 – 6:30pm highlighting apprenticeships for young adult carers.

Carers Rights Day is a national event to highlight and campaign for carers' rights. With the cost of living crisis being one of the main concerns for carers we held an information event focussing on this.

Council to discuss new strategy to support Solihull carers

Solihull Council’s Joint Adults and Children’s Scrutiny Board will discuss a new five-year Carers Strategy at its meeting on Thursday (22 September).

Over the past 6 months we have enjoyed getting back to working face to face with carers in the community and it has been lovely to see many of you joining our carers meet ups and events.

Use this for telephone numbers of whom to contact in an emergency and to alert others you are caring for someone who may need help back at home.

Donations Support Young Carers at Blackwell

For the 9th year running, we ran a BBQ at our Blackwell Residential event for Young Carers aged 8 to 11. The Blackwell event was, again, funded by a wonderful donation of £2,000 from our great friends at Rotary St Alphege.

A carer’s assessment looks at your needs as a carer and the impact of your caring role, including the practical and emotional support you provide.
