As a representative of Carers Trust Solihull, you will provide guidance to visitors, help identify hidden carers in the Solihull borough, and collect non-confidential information. This role involves engagement in settings such as GP surgeries, pharmacies, and hospitals.
You will distribute Carers Trust materials and resources to individuals in healthcare settings, including GP surgeries, hospitals, and pharmacies. Engaging with visitors, you will help identify carers and those who may know carers, guiding them to the Carers Trust Solihull website for further support and providing contact information for potential referrals. You will also promote Carers Trust by encouraging visitors to share information with friends, family, and workplaces.
Your role will include gathering non-confidential information and ensuring accurate documentation of details. You will work closely with the Health Engagement Lead to maintain effective communication and support.
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate empathy and compassion, providing supportive engagement in a healthcare environment. Confidence in engaging with diverse individuals and initiating conversations is key. As a self-motivated volunteer, you will work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify opportunities to support caregivers.
